It's funny we are being called to apologize for a prank we sorely wish we had thought of first. We were admittedly a little confused as to what had gone done over at SGMsurvivors.com concerning a person called Roy Baylor. (Which we think is a character from a John Grisham novel) We are flattered that you all think we did this prank, hoax, clever illustration, yet we cannot in good conscience accept the credit. After a few private emails with "Roy" it became clear that we had both employed the very same Proxy Switcher program and both had the idea of bouncing our IP's around the world and through Starbucks that were close to SGM churches around the states. This simply proves that great minds think alike. Although we would like to apologize to "Roy" for our part in uncovering his very funny story. To Roy: Our bad man, but we gotta keep our identities clean beause these people are crazy, if they found out who we were they'd go livid. Yeesh.

Good for him. The whole thing is so very funny and ridiculous at the same time, hopefully SOMETHING will get through to these people.
"Roy": you will be missed. Email us sometime in the future, we'd love to hear the full story from your perspective.

I go to an SGM Church.
I have seen much over many years.
I still feel called to stay and help this huge ship change course.
I have been called a kool-aid drinking, blindly-following, cloned, robotic, SGM-supporter.
I am not those things, but that is just to give you an idea of where this is coming from.
I am not going to go too far down the road of criticizing your writing abilities and overall skill with sarcasm, although they both leave much to be desired.
My main criticism is this:
You (and Roy if you aren't the same parties as you claim), have done quite a bit of damage to the prospect of achieving reconciliation between the various parties.
Doesn't it give you pause to consider that Satan's goal in this situation would be to perpetuate the discord and bitterness?
Isn't this what you have done?
Does it concern you that you are at cross-purposes with God here?
You give SGM's critics a very easy and unarguable example of what they would say SGM is:
Arrogant, Closed-minded, Self-righteous, Snarky, Immature, Condescending...etc.
You, my friend(s), are all those things and more.
You are, plainly, an ass.
I feel frustration with the "anti" blogs, as you obviously do.
I feel called to SGM, as you obviously do, as well.
Please pray honestly to the Lord, and bring in some wise counsel on what you are doing.
You are actually tearing down what it would seem your desire is to support, and public and non-anonymous repentance is called for.
I hope you are embarrassed and offended by this comment, because you should be. What you did was offensive, and you should feel embarrassed.
If you are a Christian, you will inevitably reach this same conclusion. I hope it is sooner than later for your sake.
If you never feel this way, I think it should give you strong doubt of your regeneration, and you should seek the Lord over whether you are even counted among his sheep.

In response to Mr. Billy: I don't agree with everything that Satirist and/or Roy said and did. But people's response to them/him is very interesting. We never saw anyone from SGM call anyone an ass, an asshole or idiot. There is such a violent response from the Anti SGM side. Regardless of whether Roy and Satirist did wrong, it's provoking a response from the other side that I think was Roy's/Satirist's whole point. If i'm understanding them right it's trying to prove a point. "We injure you and you blow up, you injure us (SGM) and we just have to take it" Ok, so they shouldn't have lied about who they were. You are right. They shouldn't have made up stories. I don't think anyone would argue with you on that. But look what it uncovered in the hearts of those who are responding. When Davids adultery was uncovered it came from a crazy person screaming at the king from the streets. Not a well polished essay done a very Godly individual. And what did David say when his guard offered to kill him, "No wait, the Lord might be in this." I see this situation unfolding the same way. Look and see what God is trying to say here. And if your answer is completely involved with another persons sin and not you OWN heart, then we've missed it all.
