Response to comments.

First of all, we here at Anti SGM Satire Inc. take personal offense at being called "not funny" especially from an Anonymous commenter. To set the record straight, we are damn funny. The humor found in this blog is found only by those not blinded by their own hate of SGM. Well of COURSE you won't find humor in this blog. What's the "duh" factor on that one? Did you think this blog was for your enjoyment?
SGMsurvivors.com and SGMrefuge.com have drawn the line in the sand. They have chosen the battlefield and the weapons. The battlefield is the Internet and the weapon is attacking pastors who wont (because they don't have to) defend themselves. It's a horribly one-sided battle. Should any pastor from SGM attempt to (I roll my eyes at the sheer absurdity of it) post a comment on these sites, how do you think that situation will differ from a piranha feeding frenzy? You all have whipped yourselves into a frenzied stupor in which CJ is the anti-Christ and SGM is Big Brother. And anything that even has a stamp of approval from SGM is horrid and evil. Let's consider this standpoint for a moment.
Ok Done.
Yes it IS actually as absurd as it sounds. Don't worry, you didn't miss anything.
The people on these sites don't want reconciliation, they turned down peacemaker for crying out loud, a disinterested third party. Yes, this simply screams the desire to make all things right. The two sites in question are nothing more that a forum to whine and cry about things that make them upset. Don't you guys get it?! Yes bad stuff does happen to good people. Yes pastors screw up, yes situations could've been handled differently. These things are not license to air your offenses publicly.

And to respond to the kook who denied God His Sovereignty. If God is not Sovereign over everything, then He is not God. If you have a God who is not in complete control over every single atom in the entire universe, if there is one rogue cell that exists outside of God's hand: Then He is not a God worth serving or worshipping. If this is your view of God, then I am sorry. And so is God.

Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers and spend time in jail. He suffered. That must've really stung, people close to him offended him and injured him. What was his response? "You big meanies, I'm gonna post on Pharaoh's blog all the bad evil things you did me so that everyone can be warned of your evil deeds." Hardly. Please.

His response was one of understanding of God's Sovereignty. "What you meant for evil, God meant for good." Does this mean that God allows suffering, that He sovereignly condones suffering?! OF COURSE HE DOES. You think that you've got a better grasp on the situations of people with offenses in SGM than God does?! How do you suppose God views this? Well we know how He feels about this. This was the same attitude that Lucifer had. Look where that damned logic got him.

It wasn't a midevil thing it's a God thing that's been in place before there was even the invention of time. To oppose this idea is to oppose the very character of God. Let us know how that works out for ya.

  1. So when are you going to open your online store?
I'm itching for an "anti-anti-Sovereign Grace" mug. Or t-shirt. Heck, I'd settle for a bumper sticker.

  2. You staff needs a fact checker. I didn't turn down peacemakers. Wrong blog.

I just reconciled with my ex pastor after chasing him for 4 years. had to bring in some extra local leadership from sgm to make it happen.

I've been guilty of broad brushing. I'd advise you to avoid the same mistake.

  3. We never said it was your blog Jim. We said it was one of "those" blogs.
Besides, if peacemakers knew that there was a mounting offensive and a gathering of "evidence" that is going to be thrust at CJ's face soon, we don't think they'd really agree with your tactics. In fact, we think they'd oppose the very idea at it's core. Just saying.

That's a little different than "one of those blogs".

  5. We stand corrected Jim, we did in fact say, "The people on THESE sites" and then in our comment we changed the tense of the word THESE to THOSE. We appreciate the nod to good syntax and grammar, without those (these?) clear writing and logical statements cannot hold their weight. As long as we're nitpicking about such things, you really should put a (comma) after the word "than" in your sentence. "That's a little different than(,) "one of those blogs." Also the period goes INSIDE the quotation marks. So glad we cleared these (those?) things up.

  6. No-it obviously has nothing with these or those. You comment to me was, "we said it was ONE of those blogs." You did not say ONE. You said, "The people on THESE sites". I understand that your end of the day defense will be, "we're joking".

You're not joking, you aren't funny, and you're being disingenuous.

As I said, I haven't turned down any help offered to me by the reformed big dogs. You would be shocked to know who I'm talking to, and how they feel about SGM.

This will all come out in the wash. Thanks for the grammar lesson.

  7. Jim,

You said, "I haven't turned down any help offered to me by the reformed big dogs. You would be shocked to know who I'm talking to, and how they feel about SGM."

Um, this may explain some very weird extremely uncharacteristic rumblings at my SGM church this past weekend. Does this mean the Big One (earthquake)is on its way?

  8. This is just plain silly. We're getting sick of "You'd be shocked to know what I know" junk.
Tell us. Reveal what you know. The only reason you'd not is to either gather more evidence for an attack (Big Earthquake?) or because you have none. We could care less about any "reformed Big Dog" Your mission to change SGM, while we're sure you mean well, is so frustrating. It appears you have been called by your own circumstances to complete some sort of mission. It's clear you are stategizing and plotting and gathering "evidence" and it all looks very silly. I read a version of this on one anti SGM site: I don't envy your pastor, he must live in a constant state of fear of what you might do.
Way to be followers. Even though holding your pastors hostage may not be in the Bible, I'm glad you guys figured out a way to reconcile that whole problem. Now you can make someone else's church practice the way YOU want them to. Man the Catholic church would've loved you guys back in the day. Anything, Reapeat: Anything you guys think you have on ANYONE in SGM is irrelevant. The most earth shattering news about the curruption of SGM leadership will have no effect on us whatsoever. See most people in SGM don't simply do things becuase CJ says so. And most of us actually do things differently in the particulars than CLC or CJ. So bring your earthquake. Bring your damning evidence. Attempt to shake up SGM, we look forward to it. Being the party that DOESN'T resort to cloak and dagger crap and gathering of evidence puts us in the camp of not being opposed by God. We will continue. We will, by God's Grace grow and change as HE sees fit. Not how YOU see fit. See that's what's called fear of Man. We actively choose to NOT fear you or your "cards." We'll stick to fearing God and his word. We think it's safer that way.

  9. I actually like most of your response. I left SGM over their fringe polity, and a few of the reformed big dogs have the same concerns. If someone asks me to not mention their name, I don't. You'd agree that is a correct action, I would assume.

Your use of "Cloak and dagger" in reference to me is the first thing resembling humor I've seen here. Your denomination is well acquainted with cloak and dagger tactics.

SGM single, I have no idea what effect this will have. One very well known friend of CJ's has been trying to reason with him for years.

I think it's perfectly reasonable for a group of Christians to ask another group of Christians to stop abusing authority and hurting the sheep. I'm sorry that you don't. I'm also sorry that you have misjudged my motives.

  10. I'm not misjudging your motives Jim, honestly all satire and kidding aside. You sound like a smart individual and I don't doubt that you have good intentions with your site. I have no way of determining your motives or heart behind what you are doing. I can only see the effects of bitterness spreading to deeper and deeper levels in the words and tone of people who post on your site as well as SGMsurvivors.com
It's sad because there isn't a clear view of how to reconcile the differences and/or hurt that's occurred. I'm not even sure it can occur under the current set of circumstances. Honestly Jim, (No mocking, no BS, no jest) what could SGM as a whole be doing differently in order to repair the myriad of past hurt?
